When you think of a mother’s love, so many things come to mind. In this commissioned piece, I wanted to get rid of all the background imagery and just focus on the subjects. The power in the piece is the embrace between a mother and her daughter. The stare of the child and her innocence further holds the viewer’s attention and intensity of the bond. Nothing like being Mama’s baby.
